2 week course designed to train students/researchers
1. to obtain and process meiofaunal samples and successfully extract meiofaunal organisms from sediments.
2. to enumerate and identify the most abundant groups, nematodes and harpacticoid copepods, to lower taxonomic levels.
3. to design environmental impact studies, both in the laboratory and in the field by using meiofauna and appropriate statistics and sampling designs.
The course is designed to be carried out at research institutes or field stations with laboratory facilities and easy access to field sampling.
